Laminate

Laminate flooring is the most dynamic floor in the market today. It could be laid on top of almost all existing floors. The great thing about laminate is that you normally do not have to lift you previous floor. This saves time and money; both in which we are lacking more and more each day. It is a very cost effective way to replace your floor as well. Be weary, there are a lot of laminates out there that are not built up to par with industry regulations. Look for an HDF core and a beveled edge always helps. Just remember with any investment, you get what you pay for. There are big box stores selling laminate a lot less than it should be, this has nothing to do with the quantity in which they bought it in but the quality. When it comes down to laminate a few cents goes a long way.

There are also different sizes of laminate as well. They mostly range from 8mm to 15mm, but don’t let the sizes fool you. The most stable form of laminate ranges between 8mm and 12mm, the 15mm laminate does not mean it is a stronger laminate. The only reason you should be looking to purchase this laminate over another is that you need to raise the floor to a required height.
